The Bodum Chambord Stovetop Espresso Maker lets coffee lovers prepare and serve shots of their favorite brew at home. This stylish unit brews quality, delicious, authentic espresso in practically no time at all - at a tiny fraction of the price of an expensive espresso machine, 3-cup, 0.35-litre. How do I use it?. Pour water in the bottom container up to the MAX mark. Insert the funnel-shaped metal filter. Add fine ground coffee to the filter. Tighten the upper part (which has a second metal filter and a silicone gasket at the bottom) onto the water container. Place the espresso maker on a heat source making sure that the handle is not directly over heat. When the water boils, the steam will reach a high enough pressure to gradually force its way through the ground coffee, and pass through to the upper chamber. As soon as all of the espresso has reached the upper chamber, you will hear a sputtering sound - the sign that the coffee is ready to serve. Pour the coffee directly from the upper chamber and enjoy a perfect cup of espresso. What kind of ground coffee do I need? Fine: Smoother to the touch, a little finer than granular sugar or table salt. How do I clean this product? Wash the stainless steel espresso maker soon after letting it cool down to minimize staining. Cleaning in the sink will suffice too. Do not put the aluminum espresso makers in the dishwasher as discoloration may occur. Note: Do not screw the espresso maker together while it is still wet. Store the parts separately. Tip: Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the outside dry. This will help to maintain the mirror finish.

Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Stainless-Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker

Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Stainless-Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker Review

Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Stainless-Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker

Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Stainless-Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker Feature

  • Chambord stovetop espresso maker; 27-ounce capacity
  • Handsome stainless-steel construction
  • Brews espresso easily in minutes; works on all stovetop burners
  • Safety valve regulates steam pressure
  • Measures 9 by 4-1/4 inches; all parts dishwasher-safe
Espresso drinkers who don't want to fuss with valves and knobs will appreciate the simplicity of this stovetop espresso maker. Constructed of durable stainless steel with a retro-look black Bakelite handle, the machine heats on any type of stovetop burner and doesn't require paper filters. Bodum includes user-friendly directions for filling the bottom compartment with water, the cone-shaped filter with fine coffee grounds, and what sound to listen for when steam has forced its way through the grounds and deposited the aromatic brew in the upper chamber. A safety valve regulates the steam pressure.

This is the larger of two sizes of stovetop espresso maker by Bodum, measuring 9 inches tall and 4-1/4 inches in diameter at the base. The 27-ounce capacity pours approximately three large mugs or six smaller cups of coffee. After use, the espresso maker can be unscrewed and every piece placed in the dishwasher or quickly washed by hand. Allow to dry completely before reassembling. Caution: Use a small burner whose diameter matches the bottom of the espresso maker as closely as possible, and make sure the handle is not directly over the heat from the burner. --Ann Bieri

Do it like the Italians! Bodum's award winning Chambord design is now available in the new Chambord Stovetop Espresso Maker! Commonly known as a Mocca pot, you can brew and serve fresh espresso fast in this competitively priced and stylish mirror-polished stainless steel pot. The efficient steam extraction method produces an exceptionally rich espresso. In this traditional method, steam is forced through coffee grounds and condenses into the pot's upper chamber. To use, fill water chamber to MAX mark, insert filter, and fill with fine ground coffee. Tighten containers and place on stovetop. A silicone gasket and release valve allow steam pressure to build safely. All parts are dishwasher safe and handle is heat resistant. Available in 3 and 6 cup sizes.
